Pokemon Quetzal Features

Pokemon Quetzal is one of the most popular hacks of Pokemon Emerald, and it just received a new update on December 11, 2024, bringing the game to Version 0.8.0. This new version comes with a lot of exciting new features and changes. Here’s a list of both old and new features, explained clearly:

Features in Detail

1. Expanded Pokemon Roster up to Generation 9

Pokemon Quetzal features All Pokemon from Generations 1 to 9, including exclusive Pokemon introduced in DLCs.

In short all Pokemon can be captured, from Bulbasaur to Pecharunt (including Arceus, the most difficult to get).

2. All Pokemon Forms Included

In Pokemon, a single species may have multiple forms, such as Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian, and Paldean forms. This ROM includes these unique forms, enhancing the gameplay experience.

3. Unique & Advanced Follower System

This ROM introduces a modernized follower system where all six of your party Pokemon can follow you during your adventure. It is one of the game’s standout features

• 0 to 6 pokemon can follow you (you can select it).
• There are all the companion pokemon from 1 to 9 gen (alola form, galar, hisui, megas, gigas, teras, ash greninja etc).
• If the pokemon is shiny, its shiny form will also follow you.
• In multiplayer the pokemon also follows you.

4. Extensive Protagonist Options (113 in Total)

Pokemon Quetzal offers a wide selection of 113 protagonists, including male and female characters from official Pokemon games and the anime. Characters like Ash, Leon, Professor Oak, and even protagonists from the latest generation are available to play as.

5. Switch Between Protagonists Anytime

You can change your character anytime and anywhere in the game. For example, if you start as Ash, you can switch to Red or any other character whenever you want.

6. 73 Starter Pokemon Options

This ROM provides a vast selection of 73 starter Pokemon to choose from, allowing you to begin your adventure with the Pokemon of your choice.

7. Multiplayer Functionality

One of the most popular features of this ROM is its Multiplayer mode, where up to four players (including yourself) can trade and battle with friends.

1. From 1-4 players.
2. You can see the other person moving in the environment.
3. You can do battles (single, double, multiple) from anywhere with MEGAS, MOVES Z, DYNAMAX/GIGA and TERA.
4. You can fight with another person against the other trainers in the game (for example against the leaders).
5. You can make exchanges from anywhere.

8. Diverse Battle Mechanics

Pokemon Quetzal includes advanced battle mechanics such as:

• Mega Evolution
• Z moves
• Dynamax
• Gigantamax
• Tera

9. Dexnav Feature

The game has a working Dexnav to help you find Pokemon more easily and see their exact locations in the wild.

10. New Renovated Day Care

1. You can put up to 6 nursery pokemon.
2. The daycare is accessed from the same PC.
3. You can see on the map the pokemon that you put in the daycare.
4. You have an exclusive box for 30 eggs, it is no longer necessary to have them on the computer to open them.

11. Wild Pokemon in the Overworld

Instead of random encounters in the grass, you can actually see wild Pokemon roaming around in the open world.

12. EXP Share for All Pokemon

EXP Share All divides the experience points among all your Pokemon, making it easier to level them up together.

13. Access PC Anytime

You can use the PC from anywhere in the game. This lets you switch Pokemon and prepare for battles anytime you need.

14. Teleport System

This works like Fly—it lets you teleport to any town or city you’ve already visited.

15. Quests with Rewards

There are 30 quests in the game, and completing them gives you special items.

16. Ride Any Pokemon

You can ride any Pokemon like you would a bike, making traveling fun and unique.

17. Change Shiny Pokemon Rates

You can adjust how often shiny Pokemon appear. Set it to very low, low, normal, high, very high or always to make every Pokemon shiny.

18. Difficulty Modes

You can choose how hard or easy the game will, from very easy to super hard. You can select several game modes (normal, random, cheats, nuzlocke etc).

19. Legendary Pokemon Hunting

After becoming the Champion, you can hunt lots of Legendary Pokemon in the post-game.

20. Play as Any Pokemon

This ROM has a cool feature where you can become any Pokemon and play as them, just like you would with the main character!

21. Modified PC Boxes

The game lets you store over 2000 Pokemon in your PC (67 boxes, 30 Pokemon per box).

22. Infinite Bag Storage

Your bag has almost unlimited space. So you can store infinite items in it.

23. New Revenge System

You can battle the same trainers as many times as you want.

24. New Move Tutor System

There’s a new system in the team menu that lets you easily teach Pokemon new moves.

25. Respawning System

Objects and berries will respawn after a while.
