    Pokemon Quetzal Changelog

    Version 0.8.2

    • Now the filter can be changed individually for radiant Pokemon.
    • To change the filter:
      • 1) The pokemon has to be radiant (or radiant shiny).
      • 2) It has to be captured with Radiant Ball (you can put the ball on it if you already have radiants captured from other versions for example).
      • 3) Go to the summary screen (from overworld or PC) and then press the R or L button (if you press R and L at the same time the default filter is set).
    • If you put the pokemon in the default filter then it will be seen with the filter you have set in OPTIONS.
    • Wild Pokemon and radiant trainers are seen with the default filter (I may have an option in the future so that this can be changed).
    • In multiplayer combat you can also see the filter BUT in overworld you only see the default filter (I still have to implement that but it’s a lot of trouble).
    • The radiants with the filters they have are stored on the PC.

    NEW

    • In combat now if you press the L button you can see information about the attacks (zmoves and max moves not included)

    CHANGES

    • Aerodactyl now appears on the first floor of sky pillar (if you have it as a pokemon you can use it to go through the holes without needing a bike)
    • Sprite balloon team rocket is now much more epic
    • Wild Spinda only comes out with a pattern (my idea is to change that in the future, but I have to make changes on PC so that the pattern is saved)
    • If you have the level cap activated, now the levels of the rivals will be the same in all difficulties.

    BUGS SOLVED

    • When teleporting (from the start menu) the game could freeze.
    • Some pokemon had bad tutor moves.
    • Yamask Galar in pokedex crashed in the section where you can check its movements.
    • In double battles, if your opponent only had one pokemon left (located on the right), your pokemon located on the right could only use one attack.
    • Zoroark skill bug in combat in certain situations.
    • Bug color palette in town 2 gym if you had 6 pokemon following you, you played with a character and team rocket was present.
    • You could not change the order of attacks on PC or daycare.
    • If you played as a pokemon and it was radiant, when buying in a store you lost the color (only during the purchase).
    • Ninja boy radiant in front battle if you played with pokemon radiant.
    • Sometimes in combat a dark square would appear where the PPs appear.
    • The Quash movement was not working well.
    • In Nuzlocke mode you could transform Pokémon after combat.
    • In Nuzlocke mode the pokemon did not evolve if they defeated any of your pokemon.
    • Fight alongside Steven in Nuzlocke mode, Pokémon were not removed from the team if they were defeated.
    • Unown K took your money.
    • PC icon sprites sometimes disappeared if you moved between too many boxes.
    • Frillish and Jellicent icons bad paddle when doing multiple grip and also in level up.
    • The Spiky Eared Pichu had a very high probability of hatching in eggs.
    • Steven became invisible if you captured the Kecleon on the bridge.
    • Error with the limit of items you could buy if you had a lot of money.
    • Crash in tutor moves when teaching a move in certain situations.
    • If you used Roost in multiplayer the game would freeze.
    • In multiplayer if the second player used a Z move he could no longer use Dynamax or Tera afterwards.

    Version 0.8.1

In this version, there’s nothing new, just lots of bugs fixed.
I highly recommend updating to this version because there was a RAM memory error that could crash the game at any moment (like when saving, evolving, battling, etc.).

    MEMORY ERROR
The AI of trainers (under certain conditions) used so much RAM that the Game Boy Advance ran out of memory. This caused it to start writing to the wrong memory addresses, leading to crashes in various situations (like when saving, evolving, during battles, etc.).
I’ve freed up a lot of space in the RAM, so now there’s about 5-6 times more space than before, and the GBA shouldn’t run out of memory anymore.

    Fixed Issues:

    • Duraludon couldn’t evolve with Metal Alloy.
    • The game would crash when sorting items in your bag if you had a lot of items.
    • Terapagos Stellar lost its form when you switched Pokemon.
    • Pikachu Cosplay could be male.
    • Nincada evolved into Kakuna instead of Shedinja (lol).
    • Ability Patch didn’t change from Hidden Ability to regular Ability under certain conditions.
    • Ceaseless Edge didn’t set up Spikes. Stone Axe didn’t set up Stealth Rock.
    • Dynamax/Gigantamax Pokemon with over 1023 HP would lose HP.
    • Piplup and Prinplup had the wrong Hidden Ability.
    • The starter Trapinch had buggy moves.
    • Nuzlocke mode had a bug with defeated Pokemon.
    • Seed Sower Ability didn’t trigger the Grassy Terrain.
    • The cheat to fill your Pokédex didn’t work.
    • Alcremie’s alternate forms used Dynamax instead of Gigantamax.
    • Dynamax/Gigantamax Pokemon with high HP had a bug where their HP and level-up stats showed incorrectly.
    • The portable PC healing option didn’t work properly if you changed the option during the game.
    • If a Pokemon changed forms while Dynamax, it would fully heal.
    • In multiplayer, if you defeated a Gigantamax Pokemon, the game would freeze.
    • Golisopod’s Dynamax would pass the effect to another Pokemon if its ability triggered.

    – I released this version quickly because the memory error was serious.
    – There are still several bugs to fix, so if you find any, please come to the Discord and report them there.
    – A big thank you to everyone who reported bugs.
